King Narai Festival

Das Fest ging von dem 16ten bis 22 Februar.Jeder zieht sich traditionelle Thaikleidung an,sogar in der Schule musste man nicht mehr die Schuluniform tragen sondern konnte mit Thaikleidung kommen.Überall in Lopburi wurde Thaikleidung getragen,aber vorallem in dem Kingnaraipalace.Eigentlich ist der "Palast" nur ein Ort voller Ruinen(Mama,Papa,Nina können sich wahrscheinlich erinnern) aber durch die ganzen Lichter und Stände die aufgebaut waren haben sie es wirklich geschafft diese Ruinen wieder in einen Palast zu verwandeln.
Es gab viele Shows,Paraden und Stände sämtlicher Art.Mich hat es schon zum Lächeln gebracht einfach nur durch zu laufen.
Warum dieses Fest war und weßhalb nur in Lopburi,hier die Erklärung:
When Ayutthaya was established in 1350AD, Lopburi became the second capital city. King Narai the Great (1656-1688AD), the 27th King of Ayuttaya period, commanded the French and Italian engineers to build the Phra Ratchawang Narai Palace (Wang Narai), walls and forts of Lopburi. King Narai used the palace to receive government officials and royal quests for recreation and as well a residence during hunting vacation.
King Narai the Great’s Reign Fair is organised in February every year to commemorate the good deeds of King Narai the Great to Lop Buri and the nation. This annual fair features folk dramas, other cultural performances, light-and- sound shows and booths offering local products, all surrounded by beautiful decorative lanterns and locals are usually dressed in traditional clothing for the occasion.
